The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies is both a medicinal plant identification guide and a manual for making your own natural remedies. While many books only show you how to make remedies, such as tinctures, salves, etc., none that we know of have so many color pictures and clear identification guidelines. The book is written by Nicole Apelian, an accomplished herbalist with over 20 years of experience, so unlike other books, you can be sure that all the information in The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies is spot on and up to date.

We do not recommend stopping any medicines that your doctor has prescribed before checking with him or her. What The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies can do is offer you a viable alternative in case you decide to do so. Many modern medicines are still derived from plants, so the active components in the pills in your medicine cabinet are sometimes the same ones found in some of your backyard plants. With The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies, you can learn to extract them and take advantage of this free and natural medicine.

You will find recipes at the end of almost each plant section in The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies and more general ones for tinctures, poultices, double extractions, capsules, etc., at the beginning of the book. That way you'll always know what remedy you need and what it takes to make and store it in your natural medicine cabinet.
